Weekly Wrap: Record highs, and likely more to come
The VNI finally had a down day – the first of 2021 – on Jan 13, but still rose every other day of the week to post a.3% WoW increase. We are now confronting two big numbers: the 1200 line, more critically, and the mainboard’s historical high of 1204 points. By contrast, the VN30 large cap index scoffed at history to post new record highs. We expect the VNI to follow into record territory this week, but we continue to expect consolidation ahead of the Tet holidays in February.
