| The VNI posted a convincing breakout over its historical high on April 1, with the mainboard soaring by 5% WoW under persistently strong domestic investor volumes and a rare week of foreign net buying. Breadth shifted from negative the previous week to strongly positive on the VNI (314 gainers / 72 losers) and VN30 (29 gainers / 1 loser). We expect Vietnam stocks to continue driving higher and to provide uncorrelated outperformance in April given the solid fundamental and liquidity outlook. |
